Livestock can be an important source of food and income, and can contribute significantly to integrated farm systems. The project supports livestock keepers to give their animals the care they need to stay healthy and thrive, using a One Health approach that recognises the close links between animal, human and environmental health.
Farmers learn to spot early signs of illness and take action before problems become more serious. Training looks at appropriate feeding and housing, vaccination and disease prevention, alongside practical animal health care. Farmers also learn about breeding and reproductive health, including the causes of infertility, and how to keep livestock records that can help them make better decisions about their animals.
