Milkiyas is one of the farmers Mesfin has been working with. He shared: “I have received training in soil and water conservation as the water was taking all the healthy soil away. Now I know how to protect it. I’ve learned to make compost and organic fertiliser from available materials. My carrots look good now as they’ve been fed with compost. [...] I want to thank Ripple Effect. They changed our mindset completely. We were so afraid of dying poor. Now we will leave behind a good history.”

What do you enjoy most about your job?
