FAQ: Donation Processing Fees and Blackbaud
We use a donation platform called Blackbaud to securely process online donations. During the donation process, you will see an option to cover a processing fee. The option to cover this fee helps to ensure that we can use the platform for free and your full intended donation goes directly to Ripple Effect’s work.
No - covering the fee is entirely optional. Whether or not you choose to cover it, we receive your donation and are deeply grateful for your support.
If you opt out, Blackbaud absorbs the processing cost, and Ripple Effect still receives the full amount of your donation. There is no additional cost to you or to us.
The fee amount is determined by Blackbaud, not by Ripple Effect, and may vary depending on the donation amount and method of payment. We continually review our platforms to ensure we are using the most effective and cost-efficient systems available.
During the donation process, there is a checkbox that allows you to opt out of covering the fee. Simply untick that box before completing your donation.
