Growing together: impact and innovation in 2024-2025
This year, we’re proud to celebrate the achievements of over one million farmers and their families across rural Africa who we reached through our work.
Thank you to our incredibly generous supporters, donors, ambassadors and volunteers, and to our committed partners and staff who made this possible.
Despite the many challenges communities have faced, including climate shocks that devastated soil, crops and harvests, families have shown remarkable resilience.
Among these families, more women, young people, and people living with disabilities have been thriving from the time, knowledge and resources we’ve provided. This has not only helped them to earn a living, but also to lead change within their communities.
Our donors and supporters have also invested in innovative solutions: such as climate-smart approaches like those Carolyne uses on her farm in Kenya; successful enterprises including Dorcus' shop in Uganda; and methods that boost productivity like Vianey's milk yields in Rwanda. You can read their inspiring stories and others in this year’s Annual Review (2024-2025), and see how farming families are transforming their lives.
Some of our key achievements include:
1.1 million
people across six East African countries benefited from Ripple Effect’s programmes (69% progress to our 2030 target to reach 5 million more people)
65%
of farmers across all Ripple Effect projects were women
9,490
donors generously supported our work
