Wonderful Water
£28.00
This Wonderful Water charity gift helps farmers in rural Africa to have access to water all year round, whatever the weather.
Having enough water for both crops and family can be an issue for African farmers, particularly as weather patterns have become more uncertain due to the climate crisis. Families learn to build and maintain a rainwater catchment tank to capture rainwater runoff, usually from the roof of the house. This means that no matter when the rainy season comes, precious water is always available.
Your gift empowers mothers like Florah.
Florah has gained valuable knowledge on managing her natural resources, including water, soil, and trees. Rainwater harvesting has transformed her farming, enabling her to irrigate crops reliably all year round. By collecting rainwater from her roof and storing it for the dry season, Florah is nurturing both her crops and her community’s future. She is committed to building a better life for herself and her family.

Why your gift has lasting impact
A Ripple Effect gift isn't a handout; it’s an opportunity. Your gift helps us reach some of the poorest families in rural Africa, enabling them to grow nutritious food, earn a living, and build secure futures.
We focus on long-term impact rather than short-term gains, and on support that's practical and relevant.
Our locally-based teams train families to:
- Farm sustainably and protect their land.
- Include everyone in the household and share tasks fairly.
- Develop their small businesses and financial independence.
Farming families are so committed to change that they share what they learn and grow with others. This creates a ripple effect that transforms communities far beyond our programmes.
About your gift:
