Resilient Family
£99.00
This Resilient Family charity gift helps a family learn how to fight the climate crisis
When a family learns how to grow enough food to feed themselves, earn a reliable income from their land, and protect their health through better hygiene, everything begins to change. What starts as a small step can become a life-changing journey out of hunger and poverty, towards hope, opportunity and resilience.
Your gift helps a family like Selena’s.
Thomas and Selena’s children previously survived on ugali (savoury porridge) in the evenings and would eat the leftovers for breakfast without the variety of fruit and vegetables they needed to keep them healthy. With hard work and determination, the family have implemented the practical solutions they need to grow enough to eat and produce surplus food to sell at market helping to overcome poverty and create a more resilient future.

Why your gift has lasting impact
A Ripple Effect gift isn't a handout; it’s an opportunity. Your gift helps us reach some of the poorest families in rural Africa, enabling them to grow nutritious food, earn a living, and build secure futures.
We focus on long-term impact rather than short-term gains, and on support that's practical and relevant.
Our locally-based teams train families to:
- Farm sustainably and protect their land.
- Include everyone in the household and share tasks fairly.
- Develop their small businesses and financial independence.
Farming families are so committed to change that they share what they learn and grow with others. This creates a ripple effect that transforms communities far beyond our programmes.
About your gift:
- How we use your gift: wherever the need is greatest across the countries we work in, making a huge difference to the lives of families in rural Africa.
- Gift cards and other items: sent via Royal Mail 2nd Class post within five working days of receiving your order.
- E-gift cards: sent directly to the recipient on the date you choose.
