Little Donkey
£13.00
Little Donkey eases daily journeys and comes with training in care and wellbeing for these gentle helpers.
Donkeys are treasured farming companions, helping families get their produce to market. Training in all aspects of donkey welfare is vital, including feeding and sheltering, appropriate harnessing, and proper loading. A healthy and happy donkey means more fruit and vegetables can be sold at market, providing a vital income for medicine and school fees.
Your gift helps donkey carers like Christine and Titus.
Christine and Titus live with their family in Kenya. After joining a Ripple Effect project, they started to grow beans, tomatoes and kale. With training in donkey welfare from Ripple Effect, they make sure their donkey is well cared for, providing a comfortable place for it to rest and a healthy diet. As their garden has gone from strength to strength, they have a helping hand from their donkey, taking their produce to market to earn a vital income.

Why your gift has lasting impact
A Ripple Effect gift isn't a handout; it’s an opportunity. Your gift helps us reach some of the poorest families in rural Africa, enabling them to grow nutritious food, earn a living, and build secure futures.
We focus on long-term impact rather than short-term gains, and on support that's practical and relevant.
Our locally-based teams train families to:
- Farm sustainably and protect their land.
- Include everyone in the household and share tasks fairly.
- Develop their small businesses and financial independence.
Farming families are so committed to change that they share what they learn and grow with others. This creates a ripple effect that transforms communities far beyond our programmes.
About your gift:
- How we use your gift: wherever the need is greatest across the countries we work in, making a huge difference to the lives of families in rural Africa.
- Gift cards and other items: sent via Royal Mail 2nd Class post within five working days of receiving your order.
