Keyhole Garden
£15.00
A Keyhole Garden charity gift nurtures the soil and families in rural Africa.
A keyhole garden allows a family to grow enough food for three meals a day – even in the face of an extreme climate and poor soil. These gardens give fantastic results quickly providing nutritious vegetables for a balanced diet. The design of the circular raised bed incorporates a central basket where compostable waste is placed along with used water from the kitchen.
Your gift helps parents like Christine and Titus.
Christine and Titus are excited about the new gardening techniques they have learned since working with Ripple Effect. With hard work they have implemented practical solutions, such as building a keyhole garden. This enables them to grow enough to eat and lift their family out of poverty. They are growing tomatoes, beans, swiss chard and kale.

Why your gift has lasting impact
A Ripple Effect gift isn't a handout; it’s an opportunity. Your gift helps us reach some of the poorest families in rural Africa, enabling them to grow nutritious food, earn a living, and build secure futures.
We focus on long-term impact rather than short-term gains, and on support that's practical and relevant.
Our locally-based teams train families to:
- Farm sustainably and protect their land.
- Include everyone in the household and share tasks fairly.
- Develop their small businesses and financial independence.
Farming families are so committed to change that they share what they learn and grow with others. This creates a ripple effect that transforms communities far beyond our programmes.
