What to expect?
Join us for an insightful panel discussion exploring the critical nexus of gender equality, climate change and sustainable development across rural Africa. Generously hosted by the Financial Times, this thought-provoking dialogue will examine the vital roles academia, philanthropy, business, and NGOs must play in catalysing positive, equitable and inclusive impact.
Sofanit Mesfin, Ripple Effect's Gender and Social Inclusion Lead based in Ethiopia, will join the panelists, offering unique frontline perspectives from her work empowering rural communities. Drawing from their lived experiences, Sofanit will share inspiring stories of resilience, highlight community-led climate solutions and amplify the voices and ambitions of those most impacted.
The evening promises to shed light on emerging best practices, confront systemic barriers and collectively envision a future where rural African communities are key stakeholders driving climate-resilient, sustainable development across the continent.
