“My family are affected by extreme hunger. It is my obligation to educate and feed my children but I don’t have the capacity to do so. I dream of obtaining money and become a prominent trader seated in my own shop and feeling strong.”

Seeds and organic farming skills to improve crop yields Women like Immaculate could learn how to enhance their farming methods. They could receive seeds such as sweet potato and beans to improve nutrition, keeping their children healthy so they can concentrate in school. They could receive vital training on how to increase crop yields to generate income. Mothers could learn techniques such as making local organic manure to nourish their soil, and how to maximise small pieces of land by growing crops together more efficiently.

Business skills for sustainable income to support the whole family Mothers like Immaculate could develop crucial skills needed to set up and run their own thriving business, allowing them to send their children to school and break the cycle of poverty for good. We share knowledge on trade and business management to support women in running a successful enterprise. This might include training on how to run a business and maintain financial records.

Hygiene and sanitation improvements to keep children healthy so they don’t miss school Families like Immaculate's could improve their access to hygiene knowledge, so they can protect themselves from disease and easily avoidable illnesses. They could build their own tip-tap, a hand-made hand-washer made from readily available materials. This support could help their children stay healthy, so they don’t miss out on playing with their friends and the education they deserve.
