About Ripple Effect
Ripple Effect is a partnership of experienced and committed African staff and Trustees, working with support from the UK and US, and most importantly, with farming families in Africa. With expertise in sustainable agriculture, gender and social inclusion, and enterprise development, we support farmers to learn more, grow more and sell more. Over 34 years we have seen 2.5 million people transform their lives to be free from poverty and hunger, and more resilient to the increasing challenges of the climate crisis. It starts on an African farm and creates a ripple effect that helps build a confident, thriving and sustainable rural Africa.
We currently work in six countries in eastern and southern Africa and have an ambitious, but realistic, goal to reach an additional 5 million people by 2030. We have been supporting communities in Ethiopia since 2007, securing several large grants to support and grow our work. We want to build on our successes by developing our established programmes while seeking new and innovative opportunities for increased reach and impact.
About the role
Implementing water and sanitation development activities at Self-Help Groups (SHGs), Project beneficiary households and the community levels in line with REE’s Cornerstones and development approaches in a gender sensitive manner.
