Reasons to Move: Joel and Billy
Joel and Billy Brunger are new recruits to our #RideLondonHerd. We caught up with the father & son duo to see how they plan to tackle their training and fundraising ahead of their epic 100 mile challenge.
Why did you choose to take part in Ride London for Ripple Effect?
We've raised lots of money in the past for the typical large UK charities, but this year we wanted to help raise money for another cause; something with a huge immediate impact and to help people help themselves.
We are extremely privileged to live in the UK and we should be helping those who are in desperate need.
Do you have any training tips for other riders?
Start your training early! But just as important, don't forget about your diet and nutrition.
You'd be surprised how many riders suffer from not taking enough fluids and nutrition during training and the actual event.
How are you planning to reach your fundraising target?
We shall be looking for the majority of support from our family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues. But also from advertising at our gym and exercise classes, and with help from social media.
